Self-confidence is your (child’s) super power.

Self-confidence is your (child’s) super power.

Self-confident people are afraid too. Fear and self-confidence GO hand in hand.

Self-confident people are “terrified” all the time.  They are finding their edge and keeping it. Pushing through the resistance of fear and discomfort doing things for the first time. However, the fear of the unknown and the fear of stepping out of their comfort zone doesn’t STOP them.

And this is how self-confidence is built.

Pushing through resistance, stepping into the fire of fear and see what’s on the other side. Self-confidence is built after we FINISH something for the first time and then repetition makes it EASY and perfect, which builds some more self-confidence in turn.

So the only difference between self-confident people and those who are not is that unconfident people are talking themselves out of confidence. They rather LOSE and don’t step out of their comfort zone.  They rather listen to the stories of their minds, that really didn’t even happen and probably won’t. Talking themselves out of it. Confident people are making things happen. When they look back after they have achieved things, they see that it wasn’t even hard. The hardest was the first step, walking into the unknowing, despite the fear.

This is TRUE for adults.

Building self-confidence in children looks a bit different.

I created a video about that.
